ANDY SHORTLAND BIOG
Andy was born in Bedford and grew up playing
violin and classical guitar until he discovered
his true vocation.......Rock Guitar!
Influenced by the New wave of British Heavy Metal
as well as a healthy dose of 70's rock, Andy's
predilection for loud guitars developed until he
formed his first rock bands in the late '80's.
In 1989 Andy moved to Nottingham were he worked
as a guitar teacher and a session player culminating
in a position in the world renowned Queen tribute
band The Royal Family as well as stints with
Dr and the Medics.
Like Matt, Andy has also been involved with
Tom Galley's Phenomena project and British
rock/metal band Cloven Hoof.
Andy's bluesy rock rock style has made him one
of the most sought after guitarists around and in many
ways it is his 'wall of sound' that provides the bedrock
to WLM.
DAVE BISHOP BIOG
Born in Derby the young Dave Bishop displayed
a healthy interest in all forms of music, but by the
tender of age of 13 he had dicovered his true love
Heavy Rock!
Stimulated by the New Wave of British Metal and
the American Glam rock scene of the late 80's
Dave honed his fretboard talents under the influence
of such guitar wizards as Jake E Lee, Randy Rhoads,
Eddie Van Halen and Yngwie Malmsteen.
What followed for Dave was a long and varied career
of teaching and session work as well as appearing with
such outfits as Sabbat, Stranger & Loud Man.
Dave has proved himself to be a huge star after the
previous WLM tours, thrilling many budding
guitarists with his axe acrobatics and proving to be
the perfect foil for Andy Shortland his six string
sparring partner.
Dave's energy and enthusiasm are second to none
and we are delighted that he has remained with WLM.
CARL SENTANCE BIOG
Carl has had extensive touring experience with
bands such as AC/DC, Motorhead and Cinderella.
Having fronted such bands as Persian Risk & Krokus
Carl has established himself as not only a vocalist
with immense power, but a frontman to rival anybody
on the current rock scene.
Over the last two years he has become a
firm favourite with both the audience and with
his fellow band mates, and is able to sing apparantly
anything with consumate ease.
Carl's exceptional vocal range means he is capable
of tackling anything from Led Zep to Iron Maiden.

please check out his personal site via the links page.
MATT MORETON BIOG
Born in 1971 Matt's involvement with rock started
at an early age with the sounds of Ted Nugent,
Kiss, Van Halen & Rush blasting from the secrecy
of his older brothers bedroom.
He started playing the drums at 6 years of age
but soon realised his talents were best served at the
front of the stage.
Having spent the last few years fronting various
tribute bands with the unenviable task of re-creating
the vocal talents of Freddie Mercury & Jon Bon Jovi,
Matt has at last turned his attention to his first love
Rock!
Having established himself over the last few years with
WLM, Matt has also been involved with Rock
legends Cloven Hoof as well as Tom Galley's
Phenomena Project alongside such luminaries as
Glenn Hughes and Mel Galley.
Please visit Matt's own website for further info.
RICH LYMN BIOG
Rich was born in Nottingham and has been a
regular on the music circuit for 20 years as a bass player
and keyboard player. Rock, country, blues, pop and
Metal have all been played by this versatile man with
such bands as Ainsley Listers Blues band and
Tom Galley's Phenomena project. His musical
influences are as broad as his CV, though Toto &
Jethro Tull are among his favourites.
Rich can usually be seen playing G+L 5 String Basses
very loudly through Ashdown amps.
Due to his versatility and virtuoso bass playing, Rich
has also been involved in numerous sessions over the
last three years.
Although Rich seldom appears at the front of the stage,
his influence on the WLM sound cannot be
overestimated. As part of the 'engine room' with Karl
Smalley, Rich is capable of playing the most virtuoso
of bass parts without ever breaking into a sweat.
It is this coolness under pressure that makes Rich
one of the UK's most wanted musicians.
SIMON WRIGHT BIOG
Simon was born in Kingston Upon Hull and
started gigging at the ripe old age of 14 on the local
rock scene before joining various established bands.
In recent years he has toured Japan, The Middle East
Spain, Sweden and the Czech Republic.
During the previous WLM tours, Simon provided
the Screaming Organs and Relentless Piano
thrashing that is often associated with the Classic
Rock sound of bands such as Deep Purple, Rainbow
and Whitesnake as well as weighing in with
essential backing vocals wherever necessary.
With a host of technology at his fingertips, Simon is
able to add the essential details to some of the most
recognisable Rock Anthems that are synonymous
with Whole Lotta Metal.
Heavily influenced by the likes of Jon Lord and
Don Airey it is easy to see why Simon's playing is
essential to the sound and flavour of WLM.
KARL SMALLEY BIOG
Karl was born in Beverley in 1972.
He was playing the drums before he could walk or
talk, as his father was already an established
drummer in the Yorkshire area. Karl was only
14 years old when he began performing on the local
rock scene but after 10 years he re-located to
Holland where he soon established himself as
one of the best 'hard hitting ' live and session
drummers around.
We are delighted to have retained Karl's services for
2006 and look forward to seeing him rocking out
behind his trademark signature Zickos drum kit
which is now as recognisable to fans of WLM
as Karls unique Pink Mohican.
